Job Responsibilities

The Drinking Water Production department is responsible for drinking water preparation in Gothenburg.

Drinking water preparation takes place at our two waterworks, Alelyckan and Lackarebäck. We are now looking for a summer substitute for our control room.

The control room engineering group consists of shift engineers. Your working hours will be allocated to our central control room. The control room plays a crucial role in ensuring drinking water supply and sewage management for the residents of Gothenburg.

As a summer substitute, a large part of your duties will involve documenting operational events and managing tasks in our system VA-banken. Your tasks will also include administrative work such as writing instructions and documenting events. During your shifts, you will also support your colleagues and be responsible for the phones, acting as internal support to existing staff with the help of your colleagues.

In the role, you will carry out daily tasks in the control room, such as monitoring Kretslopp and waterworks as well as raw water quality, drinking water production, and part of the pipeline network. This means you will interpret data and alarms that come into the control room and draw conclusions from the available information. During evenings, nights, and weekends, the control room engineers will also have contact with the public via SOS Alarm, which may come with inquiries or information to the control room regarding drinking water, pipeline networks, and/or waste.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is studying at a university program in process industry, for example, marine engineering. The position is security classified level 2 and requires a successful background check from Säpo and Swedish citizenship. A valid driver's license (B) is also required for the position.

If you have previously worked shifts, have experience in control room operations, and have worked with the control systems Cactus and ABB, it is an advantage.
